Installation
- Download Simple Event Calendar package from the downloads area of Themechoice.com.
- After downloading the zip file, log into your Joomla admin.
- Go to Extensions > Manage.
- Select the Upload Package File tab and select your downloaded zip file.
- Click the upload and install button.
- You should see a success message stating that the Component, Module, and Plugin were installed.
- Next go to Components-> Simple Event Calendar as in the following screenshot:
Configuring Simple Event Calendar
The first thing you should do is configure the Simple Event Calendar component.
- In the upper right of your screen you will find the "Options" button.
- The following screenshot shows the component options. You can select how many events to show per row and also in Event Calendar tab select calendar theme.
Category Management
Before you can create an event you need to create at least one category.
- Go to the Simple Event Calendar: Categories and click "New" as in the screenshot below and then save your category.
Events Manager
After creating your category you can go to the Events and create a new event. The Following screenshot represents how to add event.
Adding A Menu to The Component
- Go to the menu manager and create a new menu item.
- The following screenshot represent for which layout you have to select for your menu item.
Simple Event Calendar - Upcoming Events Module Settings
- Go to Extensions>Modules
- Find the Upcoming Events Module Module in your list of modules
- Open the module and select which category the module will display and set your preferred module position.
